In July 2011, the law on Renewable Energy Sources which is aimed at creating conditions for attracting investment in this area and improving energy security comes into effect. Moreover, it creates a legal basis for the purpose of the national policy in the sphere of harnessing of renewable resources
The Council of Ministers has adopted by its resolution №663 of May 25, 2011 the rules of non-application of raising factors to the tariffs for electricity and natural gas to legal entities (come into effect in September 2011).
Decree No 4 of June 6 «On additional conditions for investment activities in the Republic of Belarus» (come into effect in August 2011) provides additional benefits and preferences in the tax field for investors in Belarus.
Tariffs for electric energy generated from renewable energy sources and declaration of some inept resolutions of Minister of Economy of the Republic of Belarus (№ 100 of June 30 2011)
